Ramblings...

I'm addicted to facebook. I love it. I love seeing what is on everyones mind. The jokes my prankster friends add. It makes it so much easier to keep in touch with everyone. I'll be the one constantly updating my facebook while in labor. Yeah. It is that bad.

I haven't been really highly motivated to do anything lately. The boys are with their dad this week so the house is eerily quiet. Curt is at work today, so that makes it worse.

I did however, sweep the floor. And move the baby clothes from one spot to another, they look better there. Until I can find a better spot. Or, until we actually clean her room.

Winter needs to be done. I'm tired of it. I hate being cold. I hate the bitter wind. I don't ever want to go outside when there is that white junk covering up my pretty green grass. I am craving fresh air. A warm breeze. The sun warming everything up. Blooming flowers. I want to be able to lay outside in shorts and a t shirt. Go out on the boat. Smell the fresh air through the open windows.

sigh.

I'm going to go bury my head in a pillow and dream about trees with green leaves... Grass with no snow... Sun.......

Really!?

I am not a big fan of snow. Unless its less than an inch, I hate it. Well yesterday it snowed. And snowed. And snowed. Today? It is supposed to snow. 10 inches by the time its all said and done. Not as bad as the 17 we had during the last big storm. That is what I get for living in Iowa!

Today was supposed to be doctors appointment day, complete with ultrasound and finding out if it is baby Emily or baby Brendon.

Not going to happen. Next Wednesday is our re-schedule. I am pretty sure that the unborn is causing this. Everytime it has been something less than wonderful with weather. Am I having Captain Planet? Miss or Mr I Control the Elements?

It does feel like this pregnancy is flying by. It helps that they moved my due date up a month! Hopefully June 12th is baby day!

Today

Today is Christmas. Merry Christmas to all of you.

I'm sitting at home, the sound of the dishwasher and the oven timer in the background. No pitter patter of little feet. No pitter patter of big feet. Curt is at work. The boys are spending their first Christmas away from me, with their dad. We woke them up super early, 5:30 am to be exact, so Curt could be here to see them open their Santa presents. They loved it. It was bittersweet for me. I loved watching their eyes light up when they opened the gifts. Yet I dreaded the clock ticking closer to drop off time. I managed not to cry yet today, I think I did enough of that last night. They are gone for over a week, so their gifts will all be taken out of the packages, assembled, put away and organized by the time they come back to me.

I could have spent the day with family, but with illness and the typical Iowa weather, and my weird need to be alone if I can't have my 3 guys, I opted to stay home and bake cookies to take up to the station.

I've already been up there once. I'm guessing this next trip won't be the last.

To everyone, have safe holiday, drive carefully and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones.

Oh it has been too long!

It has been far too long since I've posted anything... Sorry for all the neglect!

Everything is going fairly well on all fronts...

12 weeks pregnant and counting... Nauseated all the time... Never want to eat... Already had to buy bigger pants. I am not excited about the last part. I hate buying bigger pants. Yes. I'm pregnant, I'm going to gain weight. I get it. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

The boys are doing great... Hunter turned 5 this month - Yet another milestone that I wasn't ready for. He is so grown up it is amazing. Ian is causing trouble like always.

We had our first major snowfall... 15 inches in one shot. Ew. Have I mentioned I'm not a big snow fan? I live in Iowa. I could do without the snow. And the ice. Not a big fan of that either. Maybe I should sell it on ebay like that other guy.

On the hunting front... Curt got a new bow. I'm not quite as excited as he is, but its still fun. Gets him out of the house for awhile... Gets me some deer meat.

Went shopping crazy today... But I saved over $100! I love sales! Two new sweaters, 3 new books (two that I have wanted for over two years), new NIKEs which is always WONDERFUL, and an array of lotion because I never have enough. Please be kind enough to note the sarcasm dripping from the lotion comment. I love lotion. Body lotion, hand lotion, face lotion, foot lotion, belly lotion. Scented, unscented, any scents pretty much. I love lotion! Too bad I had to stick it ALL away until Christmas. SIGH.

Hunter wants me to add that Curt is being silly right now. I think they are all being silly right now. They were watching a hunting movie, now they are all wrestling around and tickling each other. Curt is doing some evil laugh and they boys are giggling like crazy.

And me?

I am laying on the couch. I've gotten really good at that!!

Off to watch the crazy kids chase the crazy dog and tackle crazy Curt.

Doesn't get any better.

Ick.

This baby is going to be a handful. He or she is going to give me a hard time and grey hairs.

Every morning I feel sick. Thankfully, I haven't gotten sick yet, but it is the constant state of wanting to be.

All I want to do is sleep. I remember being tired, but this time around I don't want to get out of bed. I want to sleep for weeks. My bed is the most comfortable place in the world.

The other day I started to get dizzy. I didn't think a lot of it, just figured I was standing up too fast. I got to work and it got worse. My computer screen wouldn't stop moving. My boss and co worker ended up calling a paramedic in to take my blood pressure (which was pretty high) so I called Curt's dad to come get me since Curt was at work. Everything turned out to be fine, just trying to take it easy.

It will be nice when Curt is home more, it sounds like they only have a few more fields to go, so if the weather stays decent they could be done next week!

Off to try and fold some laundry!!

I don't get it.

Curt is in the field today.

The boys and I are at home.

I don't understand why this is so hard for me.
